Merlin's F.A. Premier League 2007

Here we present the Official Sticker Collection of the English Premier League for the season 2006/2007, published by Merlin. The Merlin series started in the season 1993/1994, after taking over the Panini collection.
Manchester United ended the 2007 season as Premier League champions with 89 points, second place for Chelsea with 83 points, and then Liverpool and Arsenal (both with 68 points). The album opens with a foreword from Richard Scudamore (Chief Executive of the FA Premier League) and the first two stickers: The FA Logo and the FA Trophy.

The album features the 20 Premier League teams in alphabetical order, as showed in the table of contents. Each team is placed over four pages with a total of 25 stickers: 3 big stickers (the squad, the kits and the star player), the clud badge (silver foil) and 21 player portraits. Each portrait sticker includes the signature of the player and a number of stars (from 1 to 5) based on his value.
Five stars players of the collection are: Gallas, Henry, Fabregas (Arsenal), Cech, Cole, Terry, Lampard (Chelsea), A.Johnson (Everton), Carragher, Gerrard (Liverpool), Neville, Ferdinand, Cristiano Ronaldo, Giggs, Rooney (Manchester United), Owen (Newcastle), Campbell (Portsmouth), Lennon (Tottenham), Tevez (West Ham).
The 20 Star Players are (big sticker) are: Henry (Arsenal), Barry (Aston Villa), Gamst (Blackburn), Anelka (Bolton), Bent (Charlton), Lampard (Chelsea), A.Johnson (Everton), Diop (Fulham), Gerrard (Liverpool), Barton (City), Rooney (United), Downing (Middlesbrough), Parker (Newcastle), Campbell (Portsmouth), Doyle (Reading), Jagielka (Sheffield Utd), Lennon (Tottenham), King (Watford), Tevez (West Ham), Heskey (Wigan).

The sticker of a 22 years old Arjen Robben

In the middle of the the album there is a section with the "Most Wanted" stickers. One player per team has been selected based on the analysis of stickers ordered online by collectors of Merlin's Premier League 2006. These are 20 big stickers placed over 6 pages.

Cristiano Ronaldo official sticker of the season 2006/07

The rookie sticker of Giuseppe Rossi, 19 years old at Newcastle.
Now great player of Fiorentina and Italy national team.

In West Ham we find two amazing Argentinian players: Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano. They were both 22 years old, at the first experience in Europe. Tevez scored 7 goals in that season and then moved to bigger clubs (Manchester United, City and Juventus). Mascherano played only 5 matches before moving to Liverpool in January 2007. In this Merlin's collection we find two stickers of Tevez (one star player, one portrait) and two of Mascherano (one with West Ham and one update sticker with the new Livepool jersey).

This collection has also an update sticker set that includes 25 stickers of players transferred during the winter market. These stickers include also players details and can be optionally used to replace other stickers of the album.
The 25 update stickers are: Denilson (Arsenal), Maloney, Carew, Bardsley (Aston Villa), Dunn, Warnock (Blackburn), Thompson (Bolton), Song, Tatcher (Charlton), Davies, Montella (Fulham), Fernandes (Everton), Mascherano (Liverpool), Ball (City), Larsson (United), Lauren (Portsmouth), Stead (Sheffield Utd), Huddlestone, Rocha (Tottenham), Neill, Young, Quashie, Upson, Davenport, Boa Morte (West Ham).
Here we can mention the rookie sticker of Song (Charlton), now at Barcelona, and Young (West Ham), now at Manchester Utd. Also, we find two great bombers as the Italian Montella (Fulham), ex Sampdoria and Roma, and the Swedish Larsson (Manchester Utd).
